Last Weekend was Final’s Days and we all saw some great matches, had good weather and on Sunday our annual Bar-
B-
Q before the Single Finals. A special mention must go to the Ladies’ pairs final that had to go to an extra end, a great contest which was finally won by Linda Fardell & Brenda Weaver. In fact the Ladies final was also another close contest with Carol Cooney beating Linda Fardell 22-
19. The men’s final was a marathon neither men able to get more than 1 or 2 shots most of the time, but in the end after 28 ends yours truly wore down Clem 21 -
16, I must admit he was joint winner of the mixed triples that was played on Saturday afternoon and then the Loving cup in the morning, so he already played a lot of bowls beforehand. I will get the photograph gallery up in a couple of days time.
This week we have three more friendly’s, only six games left in total to the end of the season. On Saturday we have our annual Race Night, it is usually a great evening, so if you haven’t got your tickets yet speak to someone on the committee and join in the fun and you never know you may win some money as well.
